Legal Victory for Murnane Client, Townhome Association

Murnane Brandt’s Michelle Christensen successfully led one of the law firm’s clients to a recent victory in court. Representing a townhome association in a dispute with a resident, she helped obtain summary judgment and dismissal on the client’s behalf.

Michelle is a seasoned litigator practicing in civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense, corporate defense, personal injury defense, and construction litigation. In this particular case, a resident claimed that she slipped on her driveway in pre-dawn hours during an ongoing snowstorm. The snowplow hired by Murnane Brandt’s client, the townhome association, had cleared the driveway that morning. Ruling in favor of the association, the trial court found that the association had no duty to remove snow or ice for a reasonable period after a snowstorm ceases.
