Murnane Brandt personal injury attorney Steven J. Kirsch was a featured presenter at the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) “Better Litigation Through Chemistry” symposium, which is part of the scientific society’s spring 2010 national meeting in San Francisco. The symposium, which is sponsored by the ACS’ Chemistry and the Law division, is a half-day session on litigation and the role of chemistry. It began at 1 p.m. March 21 and included presentations from experienced litigation attorneys and an expert on polymer materials in subrogation cases.
Steve’s presentation topic was the "Role of Textile Chemistry in Flammable Fabric Wearing Apparel Litigation." During his session, he addressed how expert witnesses present on flame retardants and the interplay these chemicals have with jurors, judges, scientists, industry, and the appellate courts.
