In law school, Christian served as a law clerk in the Ramsey County Attorney's Office.  This experience was invaluable, as it afforded Christian the opportunity to make frequent court appearances on behalf of the State of Minnesota. He also volunteered in the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights during his third year of law school.

Christian is a 2001 graduate of Marquette University, where he majored in English and Political Science and spent a semester in Washington D.C. interning for a United States Congressman.
