John Brandt is synonymous with Murnane Brandt's business law practice. As an experienced business lawyer, he focuses his practice in the areas of business organization, real estate and financial law. During his career, John has served a variety of business clients, from inception through succession planning. John strives to provide value in assisting clients to achieve their business goals. He is regularly recognized on a statewide and regional basis as one of the leading business and banking lawyers in Minnesota. He has an AV® Peer Review Rating in the distinguished legal directory, Martindale-Hubbell.*

Over the years, John has represented community banks and other financial service companies in handling lending origination and workout matters, including negotiation and documentation. John has extensive experience and particular skill in complicated financial transactions involving closely held companies, real estate, and loan collateralization. His clients turn to him when they need creative and sophisticated solutions to difficult and complicated financing issues.

John has been active in local and state bar activities and is currently a member of the Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has lectured on various topics including loan documentation and real estate law.

A college court of honors graduate from William Mitchell College of Law in 1966, John also attended St. John's University and the University of Minnesota.

When not practicing law, you will find him involved in family activities, bike riding or hunting.
