Michelle Christensen is a shareholder with the firm and her broad spectrum civil litigation practice includes the areas of insurance, personal injury, employment, business, and construction law.  Michelle has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trials, arbitrations, and appeals.  She has obtained defense verdicts for home seller clients in response to buyers’ claims of breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, and mold.  Since joining Murnane in 2001, Michelle has also successfully handled numerous cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court and Court of Appeals involving insurance coverage, construction and tort law.

Michelle received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1992 and her B.A. from Carleton College in 1989.  During law school, she worked at the U.S. Attorneys’ Office and private law firms.  Michelle is admitted to practice in the states of Minnesota and Missouri and has also been admitted in the United States District Courts for the District of Minnesota and the Eastern District of Missouri. 

Michelle has been selected to speak at continuing education courses and seminars and has been repeatedly named a Rising Star in Minnesota Law & Politics.
