Steven Erffmeyer practices in all areas of civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense, construction litigation, insurance coverage, premises liability and class action. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he practiced in metro Detroit focusing exclusively on civil litigation and trial practice. In addition, he was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Paul A. Nelson in Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District.

Steven is a graduate from the DePaul University – College of Law, from which he earned his J.D. in 1997. He received his B.A. from Calvin College in 1994. While in law school, Steven obtained a broad range of experience including participation in an externship with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

Steven is admitted to practice in the states of Minnesota and Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western District of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6 th Circuit. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, and Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.

When not representing clients, Steven enjoys running, traveling, and both sporting and cultural events.
