Litigating major product liability and toxic tort cases, Tom manages and directs national discovery and trial preparation for product manufacturers in jurisdictions from Hawaii to Maine and abroad. He routinely writes and presents multimedia seminars. He designs, assembles and maintains custom litigation databases to ensure accuracy and
to identify and evaluate litigation trends. Tom designed and maintains several secure internet sites for client matters. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Minnesota, and has appeared pro hac vice in more than ten other states.
Tom is from Cleveland, Ohio. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Hamline University School of Law in 1987 and his B.A. from St. Olaf College in 1983. Prior to joining Murnane Brandt, Tom was a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas G. Forsberg in the Minnesota Court of Appeals and a senior law clerk to the Honorable Randolph W. Peterson in the Minnesota Court of Appeals. He is a certified USA Youth Hockey coach and regularly plays in charity events for the Ramsey County Bar Association and Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services.
