Nick O’Connell practices in all areas of civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation, employment law, insurance coverage, extra-contractual claims, bad faith, municipal law and personal injury defense. Nick is a member of the Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota State Bar Associations and the Ramsey County Bar Association.
Nick began working at Murnane as a law clerk during his second year of law school. Prior to joining the firm, Nick worked as a Legal Analyst for the Minnesota Department of Economic Security where he adjudicated claims for unemployment compensation.
He is a cum laude graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law, where he earned his J.D. He received his B.A. from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. While in law school, Nick was an active member of the Rosalie E. Wahl moot court team.
Nick is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Minnesota and Wisconsin, the North Dakota state courts and the 7th and 8th circuit courts of appeals.
In his free time, Nick enjoys various outdoor activities, primarily in Otter Tail County and spending time with his family.
Nick has been repeatedly selected as a Rising Star by Minnesota Law and Politics.
