Dan Young's practice focuses primarily on corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, representation of closely-held, emerging and technology businesses, real estate and venture finance, corporate governance and succession planning, family businesses, estate and trust planning and administration.

Dan also serves as outside general counsel to a variety of businesses advising corporate and individual clients in such areas as choice of entity and entity of formation issues, intellectual property, joint ventures and strategic alliances, international ventures, e-commerce, funding and negotiating of financing and raising capital. Dan also represents individuals and businesses in matters related to employment law issues, trademarks and commercial disputes including, litigation, arbitration and mediation.

Dan also provides advice and counsel to families and individuals in matters related to estate and trust administration, family office and shareholder planning and dispute resolution.

Dan is a frequent lecturer in a variety of legal matters of business start-ups, financing new business, entity selection, buying and selling business, understanding financial statements, and estate and trust planning and administration.

Dan received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1990 and his Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Marquette University in 1986.
